PACING RECORD HOLDER

Silent Swing gave the Charlottetown Driving Park Entertainment Centre a new pacing record of 1:51.1 during Trial Two of the Sobeys Gold Cup & Saucer on Monday August 14, 2006. David Shea of Campbellville Ontario and Reginald Petitpas of Shediac Bridge New Brunswick share ownership of the dynamic pacer. Jean Louis Arsenault trains, while Island native Paul MacKenzie was in the bike for the record breaking performance.

Exclusives gave the Summerside Raceway a new pacing record of 1:54 on July 3, 2006. Eric Johnston, Summerside, PE owns the track record holder. Gary Chappell was in the bike for the record breaking performance.

TROTTING RECORD HOLDER

Maple Leaf Hawk became Prince Edward Island’s first ever two minute trotter, establishing a track trotting record of 1:59.1 on August 2, 2003.

Dunmore TKO is the track record holder at Summerside Raceway. The record was set during Lobster Carnival Week July 9, 2008. Edward Smallwood, Stratford, PE is the owner and trainer. Gary Chappell was in the bike.
