Lakota Hall Captures Saturday Night Feature

Charlottetown, PE - Lakota Hall and driver Walter Cheverie took command of the field at the quarter pole marker and hit the finish line in 1:55.4 to win the Saturday night feature at the Charlottetown Driving Park Entertainment Centre. It was the second win in a row for the eight year-old co-owned by Cheverie and John Thompson, Charlottetown.
Riccaras Sun, who enjoyed the pocket trip, was second by a head for Kenny Arsenault and trainer Trevor Hicken while Mighty and Strong, owned by Patrick Morris, Charlottetown, completed the triactor for driver Ron Matheson.
Pownal Bay Matt, sent away as the post time favorite, delivered a gate to wire winning performance in the Clan MacPhail Pace. Earl Smith did the driving for owner Ian F Smith, Charlottetown. Best of Life, who made his racing debut at the capital oval for owner Chris MacKay, French River, was second for Gary Chappell. Howmacs Dragon held her position to take third place money for the Howmac Farms Stable, North Wiltshire. Marc Campbell was in the bike.
Pans O Silver with Brodie MacPhee at the controls won the Dr. Barry Ling Memorial on Thursday night in a new personal best of 1:55.3. Alex MacPhee holds the ownership papers.
Racing returns Tuesday at 7pm and on Wednesday at Summerside Raceway. Post time 7pm.
