Charlottetown, PE – The post positions have been drawn and the field is ready to go in the Cuyler MacKenzie Memorial race, a featured event, Tuesday at the Charlottetown Driving Park Entertainment Centre. Post time for the 12 dash card is 7pm.

O U Hussey, a two-year-old filly owned by Norman Hall, Charlottetown, will make her first lifetime start for driver Marc Campbell and trainer Earl Watts. Watts is enjoying a great season with his stable on the Maritime circuit.

The CDPEC race analyst, Les MacIsaac, has the youngster as his top choice in the memorial race. “She makes her debut after a pretty good qualifier when she kicked home in 29 and change,” explains MacIsaac. “We would expect Marc (Campbell) to have her spotted near or possibly on the lead and with her likely being able to improve slightly time wise she could win at first asking.” Owner Bill Kinney, Cornwall, has two of his horses entered in the event. Camco Nadenne has Vaughn Doyle in the bike while stable-mate Putnams Finesse has been assigned post 5 for driver Shane Bernard. Bernard will drive for trainer Paul Doyle and co-owner Shane Doyle. The other starters include Urbani and Brian MacPhee, Brittneys Girl with Albert Bernard, GL Maureen and Gary Chappell, Kingofthecastle with Paul MacDonald and R ES Mary for Earl Smith. The race is scheduled to post at 8:20pm.

Pans O Silver is back to perform in the evening’s top class after his impressive win in the Dr. Barry Ling Memorial last week in 1:55.3. Brodie MacPhee, who engineered the winning trip, will do the driving for his grandfather Alex MacPhee, Cornwall. Brodie will leave along side his dad, Brian, who will be piloting Woodmere Rockette for owner Lowell Stead, Montague off the rail. The all-star line up includes Smackwaterjack, Classie Albert, Todds on Nuke, Rebelryan and Now Whos Laughing.
