Countdown to the Cup Launches on April 25

Charlottetown, PE – The horses return to the racetrack to officially launch the live racing season and the Countdown to the Cup promotion Saturday April 25 at the Charlottetown Driving Park Entertainment Centre. Post time is 1pm.
The promotion allows customers chances to qualify to select a prize out of a pool of prizes totaling $50,000 throughout the season. Draw dates, prize packages and sponsors will be announced on opening day. The promotion is a celebration of two historic events the 50th Running of the Gold Cup & Saucer and the Canada Summer Games. The promotion ends the night before the big race.
Two nomination deadlines are quickly approaching with the return of the Aliant Pacing Series, The Young Guns Pacing Series and the Cecil Ladner Memorial.
The Aliant Pacing Series and the Young Guns Pacing Series are slated for action in May while the Ladner Series hits the track in June.
The track will stage qualifying sessions for the new season on April 15, 18 and 21 at 12pm. For complete information on the Racing Series go to horseman’s info and click on notices.
